Don't give up!

This song is about not giving up even though you are having a hard time. We have to keep moving forward and remember there are better things waiting for you in the future.

Swedish House Mafia : Don't you worry child

There was a time
I used to look into my father's eyes.
In a happy home
I was a king, I had a golden throne.
Those days are gone,
Now the memory's on the wall.
I hear the songs
From the places where I was born.

Upon a hill across a blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak.
I still remember how it all changed.

My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."
Yeah!

"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."
Yeah!

There was a time
I met a girl of a different kind.
We ruled the world,
I thought I'd never lose her out of sight.
We were so young, I think of her now and then.
I still hear the songs reminding me of a friend.

Upon a hill across a blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak.
I still remember how it all changed.

My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."

My very first....Teacher Respect Ceremony... Wai Khru

Yesterday at my university, we had a very important event call "Wai Khru" or Teacher Respect Ceremony. Its a very beautiful ceremony where students pay respect to their teachers and express their gratitude.
We (my fellow student-teachers) attended two events. One in the morning where freshmen (here, freshies) from every department gather at the universities main auditorium. As we entered, we saw the very beautiful and most creative flower arrangements made by each department and each year. This will be given to the teachers and respected people on the stage.

Flower arrangement competition
Although, I am Thai this is my first time attending Wai Khru as a teacher. When I was in high school I would be either in the Thai Traditional Music Band or the ones handling the awards. So to speak, it is a very new experience and something I don't think I will get used to easily. Perhaps if the age gap between my students and I are five years or more, I will feel more comfortable.

In general, the Wai Khru ceremony begins with a prayer to the gods, followed by a song-like chant specifically for this event (both in sanskrit.) Then the students present flower arrangements, candles and joss sticks to their teachers. The morning ceremony was longer because they also gave out awards to students, faculties, and winner of the flower arrangement contest.

In the afternoon, we head back to our Faculty of Management Science (FMS) for our own ceremony. The order event was not different from the morning one, its just more compact and i definitely feel closer to the students.
Again, I don't really feel comfortable having students bow before me, so I stayed in my seats in the last row.
